Fun flavors

Looking to try some new flavors for your s’mores? Take that delicious toasted marshmallow and replace the milk chocolate and graham crackers with some different sweet treats. Fudge Striped Cookies create the perfect mix of cookie and chocolate to easily sandwich around that marshmallow. Sugar cookies and white chocolate make a great treat. Or swap out Hershey’s chocolate bar with a Reese’s peanut butter cup.

You can also use your favorite cookies and marshmallow and add: lemon curd for a lemon meringue pie s’more or raspberry, blueberry or strawberry jam for a fruity treat, or nutella and banana, or enhance with a drizzle of dulce de leche, or add some sea salt and a drizzle of caramel, or try Andes mints.

Recipe fun

The combination of roasted marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers doesn’t have to only come in the form of a traditional s’mores sandwich. Take those amazing ingredients and cookies, cupcakes, gooey bars, cheesecake, marshmallow pops, brownies and even parfaits are great ways to put a new twist on a favorite.

Try S’mores Brownies. Mix up a batch of your favorite, super gooey brownies. Once baked, remove from the oven and spread 1 10-ounce bag of mini marshmallows on top. Bake for 5 minutes or until they begin to melt. Broil until marshallows are golden brown. Remove from oven, cool slightly and top with 8 graham crackers broken into small pieces and 1/4 cup broken milk chocolate pieces.

Feeding a crowd

Don’t quite have time in your 4th of July evening plans to stoke up the fire pit? Planning on a huge crowd over for dessert? Then it’s time to think of some new ideas for treating your friends and family to the perfect summertime flavor combination. S’mores flavors are great in the form of ice cream, snack mix, popcorn and more.

Try whipping up this tasty and super simple S’mores Dip. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pour 1 bag of good-quality milk chocolate chips into a 9-inch skillet. Bake for 3-4 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Remove from the oven and arrange 1 bag of large marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate. Bake for 2-3 minutes until marshmallows are browned. Serve immediately with graham crackers, cookies and fruit for dipping.
