LDS mission president severely injured in bicycle accident in Australia
A mission president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was severely injured in a bicycle crash Wednesday.
According to a statement from the LDS Church, Daniel J. Bingham, who is serving as the president of the Australia Sydney South Mission, suffered a broken neck in a bicycle crash on Wednesday morning. He underwent surgery and is in intensive care at a local hospital, according to the statement.
“The family is grateful for prayers on their behalf at this difficult time,” the LDS Church said in their statement.
Bingham and his wife Donna have been serving in Australia since July. They are from Helena, Montana and have four adult children.
