I received some information on another conference that is taking place. This particular conference is for professionals and students but worth adding.  

The Utah Association for Infant Mental Health is presenting their 2022 conference “Nurturing the Nurturer: Tools for supporting emotional safety, inclusion and joy.”  The dates for the virtual meeting are Feb. 3 and 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is available through http://eventbrite.com/e/utah-assocation-for-infant-mental-health-annual-conference-2022-tickets-198020453507. The registration cost is $100 for professionals and $25 for students, with scholarship opportunities available. Tickets also include a membership for UAIMH 2022

The keynote speaker on the first day is Mona Delahooke, Ph.D., who will guide students through Greenspan and Wieder’s levels of social-emotional development and then present on caregiver-child co-regulation. Delahooke emphasizes the neurobiology of regulation and the crucial role of relationships in the process.

The second day keynote speaker is Dr. Marva L. Lewis. The keynote speaker will demonstrate how historical and intergenerational trauma in various populations affects parenting. She will also discuss positive interventions during everyday activities, such as combing hair, that can foster resilience and positive development.  

Each day following the keynote, Paige Light, an Infant Mental Health Mentor-Clinician, will present how to utilize reflective supervision and reflective practice to work through our own distress when addressing these topics with families.  

Psychology, Social Work, Counseling CEU’s are available. Nursing CEU’s are pending. The event is sponsored by the Utah Division of Substance and Mental Health (DSAMH) and Roseman University.
