Payson police officers and detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the area of Payson High School soon after school let out Tuesday.

All parties involved in the altercation are accounted for and there was no threat to the public or student body, according to Payson Police Department information.

As this incident involves juveniles, their names will not be released. One juvenile stabbing victim underwent surgery Tuesday night and is expected to recover from their injury. Another juvenile has been detained for questioning.
