There are two little girls and a newborn boy who are waiting for Santa to come — sadly, he may not without help from a volunteer family from Sub for Santa.

Maggie is a single mom with two young girls and a newborn son, due in early December. She moved here this summer, but is currently unemployed.

“I am new to Utah and unemployed. This assistance will help my family tremendously by putting smiles on my children faces,” Maggie said. “Bringing that Christmas joy to them. I would be forever grateful. I Just want to help my children have a little joy for the holidays.”

The whole family, but especially Maggie, is looking forward to decorating and watching Santa movies. “I guess like the Spirit of Christmas.” Her oldest also can’t wait for Christmas — to have her baby brother around.

This is an easy family to please and take care of, but volunteers are needed to step up.

Both girls need winter clothing, including pants, shirts and coats.

The oldest is 3.8 years old, wears a pant and shirt size 7/8 and shoe size 11. Her favorite color is purple. She would like the book “Frozen the Girl with the Special Gift” and other Frozen books. She would love a baby doll with clothes and stuffed animals.

The youngest girl is 2.9 years old and wears a pant and shirt size 5/6 and shoe size 10. Her favorite color is pink. She needs books appropriate for toddlers along with a doll and stuffed animals.

The newborn baby boy could use anything for babies — booties, warm pajamas, onesies or socks. Infant toys would also be nice.

All names of Sub for Santa participants have been changed. To help a family like this one, call the Sub for Santa hotline at (801) 356-6300 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays or visit https://subforsanta.org.
