Try as they might, Bill and Carrie have not been able to crawl out of a medical and financial hole. That is making Christmas almost non-existent for their three children.

Bill had been suffering from a fractured ankle for two months, which has cost him his income entirely — before that it was a battle with COVID-19. Carrie can only work part-time.

“At the moment we will not be able to provide presents for our 3 children,” Carrie said. “For us to receive assistance will ensure that our children get to have some Christmas magic this year.”

The two oldest children love to create, build, grow and play, according to Carrie, but the youngest has Spina Bifida and is just finally learning to walk and requires a lot of attention.

“There are still good people out there that are willing to give and help,” Carrie said. “There is still that Christmas magic that we all know and love.”

If you would like to be a Sub for Santa for Bill, Carrie and their children here are some of the children’s needs and wants.

The oldest is a female, just over 8 years old. She needs shirts and dresses. Her pant/shirt size is 8 and shoe size 2. Her favorite color is teal. She would like books by Beverly Cleary or similar authors. She would like Legos for ages 9+ and any craft kits.

The middle child is a 5-year-old male. He needs dress clothes and his pant size is 6, shirt size is 5 and shoe size is 1. His favorite color is blue and he would like the “Pete the Cat” books. He would also like Power Rangers, superheroes and other action figures.

The youngest is a female, just over two-and-a-half years old. She needs dresses, shirts and pants. Her pant and shirt size is children’s 5 and shoe size is children’s 8. She loves all colors and would like picture and board books. She like Barbies and Anna and Elsa dolls from Disney’s “Frozen.”
