Utah County residents live and work all over the county, and some have longer commutes. There are 245,975 people over the age of 16 who work in Utah County — 68 percent of the total population over the age of 16 have civilian jobs, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Those workers travel an average 21.3 minutes to work. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 73.1 percent of Utah County workers drive alone to work, 12.1 percent carpool, 6.3 percent of workers work from home, 4.1 percent walk to work, 1.8 percent of workers take public transportation, 1.3 percent take a taxi or motorcycle and 1.2 percent bike to work.
