PROVO -- It took search and rescue crews more than three hours to help a stranded hiker in Rock Canyon Friday afternoon.

According to Lt. Matt Siufanua with the Provo Police Department, the 18-year-old male was hiking and rock climbing when he got stuck without the right equipment and couldn't go up or down.

Siufanua said it took crews more than an hour to reach the hiker and that he was stranded for more than two hours.

No injuries were reported.
