An Orem man was booked into jail Thursday after police reportedly discovered 31.4 grams of meth in his possession.
Kelby Vizcarra is facing a first-degree felony after Utah County Major Crimes police said that they found the high count of the drug in Vizcarra's vehicle.
Police went to a Provo residence with a warrant for Vizcarra's arrest, where Vizcarra was found. Vizcarra said when interviewed by police that he was "just visiting a friend," according to the police report.
Vizcarra's vehicle was at the location, where a can of the grams of a "crystal substance and several baggies" were found and tested positive for meth, reports state.
"(Vizcarra) had prior drug distribution charges and is on parole," added the police report.
Vizcarra was arrested Thursday on suspicion of a second-degree felony for violation of parole and a class-B misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
