Payson police have arrested a teacher at Landmark High School for reportedly having sexual activity with a minor.

Sarah Lewis, 27, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of selling, offering or furnishing alcohol to a minor and for unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office Corrections Bureau.

Lewis had taught at Landmark High School, an alternative high school in Spanish Fork, for two years, according to Lana Hiskey, spokeswoman for the Nebo School District. Lewis had taught dance and social studies.

Lewis has been placed on a leave of absence while the investigation is ongoing. Hiskey said police immediately alerted the district on the investigation.

"We really appreciate the police giving us a heads up right away," Hiskey said.

Lewis had sexual interactions with a teenage boy at her home in Payson, according to a police report. She also reportedly gave him vodka and beer.

There is video documentation of Lewis' interactions with the minor.

Lewis has been ordered by a judge to have no contact with the teenager. She will appear in court on Monday.
