Utah Valley University released some demographic information about their 41,728 students enrolled in fall 2019. Here are five interesting takeaways.
According to the university, 36% of the student body are first-generation college students, meaning they are the first in their families to attend college.
UVU's numbers show that 80% of students at the university are employed. Of those, 51% work at least 21 hours per week while attending school and 27% work more than 31 hours per week while attending UVU.
The university's numbers show that 32% of students are age 25 or older.
Of the ore than 40,000 students, 40% are married or in a partnership. The numbers also show that 17% support at least one child.
UVU says that 19% of the student body are students of color.
