Utah Valley University will host its 2019 commencement ceremonies Thursday, where thousands of students will receive their degrees. Here are five quick facts about this year's graduating class.

Students will receive about 6,500 degrees
The Class of 2019’s 5,953 graduates will receive 6,485 degrees. Those degrees will include 353 certificates/diplomas, 2,237 associate degrees, 3,639 bachelor’s degrees, graduate certificates and 250 master’s degrees. Some students will receive more than one degree or certificate.
Graduates come from all over
This year’s graduates are from across Utah, the nation and even the world. The students come from 29 Utah counties, 48 states and territories and 41 countries.
They are both old and young
The youngest graduate will receive an associate degree at the age of 16. Three people will tie for the oldest graduates. They are each 69 years old and will receive bachelor’s degrees.
They have various interests
The most popular degrees for this year’s graduating class are in university studies, behavioral science, business management, aviation science, accounting and nursing.
There will be five commencement speakers
The 5 Browns, an award-winning sibling piano ensemble, will give the keynote address at commencement 630 p.m. Thursday in the UCCU Center. The address will be given through both music and speech. Each of the five siblings will also receive an honorary doctorate of fine arts and humanities.
