Nebo School District is one of three distinct school districts in Utah County with thousands of students across numerous growing cities.
1. It's not small
It's big, and growing. The district has more than 40 schools, with more planned.
2. It's among Utah's largest districts
The district has more than 30,000 students, making it the sixth largest school district in Utah and the second largest school district in Utah County.
3. More middle schools
Middle schools are coming. The district began construction on Valley View Middle School in Salem this year, and plans to start construction on Maple Grove Middle School in the Maple Mountain High School area and Spring Canyon Middle School in the Springville High School area next year. The schools will return middle schools to the district, and will also reestablish direct-feeder patterns between schools.
4. Makeovers are underway
High schools are getting a makeover. As part of its 2018 bond, the district plans to rebuild three high schools starting in 2022. Plans for the rebuild of Springville, Spanish Fork and Payson high schools are being finalized now.
5. It reaches the furthest south in the county
It has the southernmost school in the county. Goshen Elementary School is not only the district's most south school, but also the school with its smallest enrollment. Coming in at the second most southern school in the district is Orchard Hills Elementary School in Santaquin.
