LEHI — The new high school in Lehi now has a name. It's Skyridge High School and its mascot will be the Falcons.

The Alpine School District Board of Education made the decision on the name at its meeting Tuesday.

"The board voted unanimously to approve it," said district spokesman John Patten. "It was the preferred name among the parents of the naming committee and school board. They did a survey of the students who will be attending the school.

The school will open in northeast Lehi in the fall of 2016.

Its colors will be burnt orange and steel gray.
