The newly completed Fortaleza Brazil Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to open to the public this week, and church officials released photos of the interior of the building ahead of the open house.
Open house tours for the seventh temple in Brazil will begin Saturday and run through May 18, excluding Sundays.
A dedication ceremony for the temple will be held June 2 and a devotional for the youth will be held on June 1.
The temple was announced in October 2009 by the church's then-president Thomas S. Monson.
The temple is the seventh in Brazil, with others in Campinas, Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife and São Paulo. According to the church, other temples in Belém, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador are either under construction or have been announced.
