The Pony Express Rodeo kicks off the city's celebration, with an event that celebrates the history of the Cedar Valley with the sport of rodeo and pageantry. The gates open at 5 p.m. each night and the pre-show starts at 6:30 p.m., with the rodeo starting at 7 p.m.

There is a bike ride that starts at City Hall and travels to the turnoff parking lot on Pony Express Parkway, where a rest stop will be located with water. Riders can then proceed back to the City Hall for a free pancake dinner served by the mayor and city council.
Bring the whole family to the city's Family Fun Night. The event will include inflatable bounce houses and mazes, free popcorn and cotton candy, superhero appearances, games, dancing, prizes and dance performances. Food trucks will also be on site through the evening.
