The Cedar Valley area has a long history in Utah County, from the days of the Pony Express to the more recent history of Eagle Mountain.

Though its only been a city for just over 20 years, Eagle Mountain has grown into the largest city in the area, with Cedar Fort and Fairfield as incorporated towns as well.

Eagle Mountain was incorporated on Dec. 3, 1996 and has since grown to be home to more than 32,000 people.

Cedar Fort was incorporated as a town in 1965 and Fairfield, home of historic Camp Floyd, was founded in 1855 and incorporated as a town in 2004.

Cedar Fort is home to 392 residents and Fairfield has 121.
