Pleasant Grove is now home to more than 38,000 people, but it hasn’t always been.

The city of Pleasant Grove was originally incorporated on Jan. 18, 1855. Pleasant Grove had an abundant strawberry crop every summer, which gave rise to the longest continuously running community celebration in Utah — Strawberry Days.

The strawberry fields have been taken over by development and residential growth, but the photos still show the small community it once was.

Take a photo look at what Pleasant Grove has looked like in the past.
