Summer may be closing up soon, but that doesn't mean there aren't more city celebrations.
Salem Days starts this weekend and runs through all of next week, with more than enough events and activities to keep the whole family happy.

Dutch Oven cook off
Bring your appetite for cobblers, chilis and everything in between. The Dutch Oven cook off is the perfect chance for campfire chefs to show off their skills and fill their bellies.

One of the greatest traditions of Salem Days is the annual Mud Volleyball tournament. Bump, set and get dirty playing volleyball in several inches of mud, or, you can always have fun watching from the clean sidelines.

Cardboard Duct Tape Regatta
You can’t have Salem Days without the Duct Tape Regatta. Teams build boats made entirely of duct tape and cardboard and race them across Salem Pond. It’s an absolute blast for the entire family to see.

Check out tractors being pushed (or pulled) to the limit, hauling weight as far as they can, competing against other tractors.

Movie in the Park
It's the greatest show! Bring the popcorn and catch The Greatest Showman with the whole family.

Little Buckaroo Rodeo
Watch future rodeo stars get their start as the littlest of cowboys and cowgirls rope, ride and mutton bust through the arena.

Friday Night Concert
Chill with your family and friends to a night of music presented by by Steven Halliday Band and The Fab Folk.

Breakfast in the Park
Grab some eggs and bacon and have breakfast with your local officials at the annual Breakfast in the Park.

Gawk at classics and muscle cars that’ll make your current car just a little jealous.
Time, date, place: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 11, Veterans Ballpark
It’s not a city celebration without a firework show. Ooo and Ahhh as fireworks ignite over the water at Salem Pond to finish off Salem Days.
