What: Salem’s goal in hosting the Little Miss Pageant is for parents and their little darlings to share in each Little Misses youth, talents and energy. These little darlings have a lot to offer Salem and at such a young age. The city encourages all of the little residents to begin serving the community, developing talents, and staying true to the values Salem upholds.
When: 4 p.m. for boat building, 6 p.m. race time, Tuesday
Where: Beach at Knoll Park
Entry Fee: $15 per boat/team
What: This one is very entertaining to watch! Fun for the whole family, boats made entirely of cardboard and duct tape. Each team is supplied corrugated cardboard, a 1x2x8 board, and two rolls of duct tape.
Details: Each participant is responsible to provide their own utility knives for cutting, life vests, paddles, and markers/spray paint for decoration.
What: Performers in the park, snow cones, fishing, Ring the Pop, dunking machine, treasure hunt and more. Each item requires a ticket which is 25 cents. You can be dunked in the dunk tank for two tickets.
