Revere Health Spanish Fork clinic

Revere Health's Spanish Fork clinic opened on March 25, 2019.

Additional medical services have moved closer to home for south Utah County communities with the opening of a new, multi-disciplinary Revere Health clinic in Spanish Fork.

“There is a need,” said Jarrett Hammer, a family physician at the clinic. “So many people have been driving up to Provo to get their care.”

The clinic opened March 25 at 972 N. 600 East in Spanish Fork and provides services such as an urgent care facility open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the week and holidays, cardiology, ear, nose and throat, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and urology.

Revere Health chose Spanish Fork for its newest location to be closer to patients coming from Price and from Spanish Fork and Mapleton communities.

“We wanted to be able to get in this market and be able to allow better access for our patients,” said Melodie Chapple, administrator in the primary care division for Revere Health.

The clinic will be near Intermountain Healthcare’s Spanish Fork Hospital when the hospital is finished in 2020.

The new clinic utilizes a design that has different flows and access routes for providers and patients. Scribes follow providers into rooms to take notes, and every exam room includes a printer.

The different routes aim to create a calmer experience for patients.

“You don’t have to hear the ringing phones, you don’t have to worry about the hubbub and things that go on behind the scenes,” Chapple said.

The clinic’s artwork includes photography from a local artist, and most of the pictures were taken in the Spanish Fork and Mapleton area.

Hammer transferred his practice from Revere Health’s Salem clinic to the Spanish Fork one. In the weeks since, he said he’s had patients thank him for being in Spanish Fork.

“This area is growing significantly, and there’s a lot of growth in Spanish Fork, and our group felt like one of us needed to come here,” Hammer said.
