A LifeFlight helicopter responds to the scene of a 3-year-old boy falling from a second story window in Spanish Fork on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

A 3-year-old boy is recovering after he fell from a second-story window and landed on a cement driveway around noon on Tuesday.

Spanish Fork Lt. Brandon Anderson said the toddler was conscious and had “improved immensely” while being treated at a hospital for severe head injuries.

He was doing “remarkably well” and medical staff told parents the injuries would likely not require surgery, Anderson said.

The boy fell approximately 13 feet from a window at a home near 230 S. 750 West in Spanish Fork.

Officers and EMS gave first aid on the scene. LifeFlight was contacted, and the child was transported to Primary Children’s hospital in critical condition.

The names of the child or the family were not released.
