Attendees to the celebration's carnival on Thursday enjoyed buddy day, which honored a buy one, get one free offer on wristbands. The carnival features at least three new rides this year, according to Danny Brown, owner of Brown’s Amusements. “Here, we just work with the space we’ve got,” said the owner of the carnival. “When it’s all full, we stop putting rides up.” Brown and his carnival are based in Mesa, Arizona, but Brown grew up in Price, and still has family throughout Utah. He explained that he spends all of June and July operating the carnival up and down the valley. “My heart’s still here,” said Brown of his Utah roots. In addition to the carnival, dozens of vendors sold various foods and items, and still other events took place throughout the day.
