A teen who was injured above Bridal Veil Falls Wednesday evening was rescued and taken to a local hospital. 

Utah County Search and Rescue responded to an injured teen above Bridal Veil Falls on Wednesday evening. According to a Twitter post from Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, a 17-year-old boy fell and sustained a head injury above the popular waterfall in Provo Canyon.

The boy is expected to recover from the injury. 

Provo Fire, North Fork Fire, Life Flight and the Utah County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, according to Cannon.

Just after 7 p.m., Cannon tweeted that the Life Flight had landed. The first search and rescue teams reached the patient by 7:11 p.m., according to Cannon.

Cannon Tweeted at about 9:30 p.m. that the boy had been flown from the location above the falls to an ambulance about 1,200 feet below. From there he was transported to Utah Valley Hospital.
