Utah Highway Patrol troopers arrested a man suspected in a hit-and-run near Eureka on Saturday morning.

Troopers responded to a reported hit-and-run on State Route 36 near Eureka at about 6:50 am. Saturday.

The suspect was then located on State Route 6 south of Eureka, headed towards Delta. According to UHP, the black 2016 Ford Explorer would not stop. Troopers as well as Millard County deputies were involved in a pursuit.

Officials terminated the pursuit as the vehicle neared Delta. According to UHP, the vehicle continued to flee from officers through residential neighborhoods in Delta before crashing into a ditch near 400 South and 700 East in Delta.

The male driver was taken into custody at the scene.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen from a body shop in Tooele on Friday night, according to UHP.
