Modern Woodmen of America members in Manti are doing their part to help the community. The group will sponsor a fundraiser on from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Oct. 8-9 to benefit the Sanpete County Children’s Justice Center (CJC).

The fundraiser, which will take place at the InnSanity Haunted Motel at Sunderland Dairy, 5890 UT HWY 117, Chester, Utah, will include: a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold during those two days will be donated to the CJC, as well as all proceeds from concessions sold during that same time. Cost for admission is $10 per person..

Up to $500 of the money raised will be matched by Modern Woodmen through Modern Woodmen’s Matching Fund Program. The funds will be used to purchase a blanket cabinet, tables, chairs, an iPad, and wrist bands for suicide prevention for the CJC and the children/families they serve.

The Matching Fund Program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need through fundraisers. These fundraising projects contribute more than $10 million to community needs across the country each year.

“With this project, every dollar truly counts,” says Janet Johnson, local Modern Woodmen volunteer leader. “It’s exciting to be involved in a project that is so important to our community.”

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, the fraternal financial services organization’s Summit chapters, chapters and youth service clubs provide opportunities for members to take part in social and educational activities and volunteer projects to meet local needs.

For more information or to get involved, contact Janet, preferably by text at 435-851-7891.
