After learning her daughter was pregnant with quadruplets, Marylou Weisenburger read online that four babies will go through about 30,000 diapers in the first year.

Add on top of that buying clothes, formula, strollers and car seats -- including a car large enough to hold four babies -- and Pleasant Grove couple Tyson and Ashley Gardner have a lot on their to-do list before the babies come early next year.

Because of that, Ashley’s sisters Leslie Moss and Whitney Johnson decided to host a silent auction in the couple’s -- nicknamed the Gardner Quad Squad -- honor.

The family-friendly event will be held at CrossFit the Point in Bluffdale on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. Community members and friends are invited to attend and bid on more than 250 donated items, ranging from arts and crafts to photography sessions and dental work.

“So many people have come forward begging to help,” Moss said.

The sisters have received donations from across Utah, with some even coming in from out of state. Local contributors include photographers and food trucks, meaning there’s more to do at the event than bid on items.

For example, up to 200 people will be able to purchase $5 meals from Chick-fil-A at South Jordan at the event, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the couple.

Additionally, anyone can purchase a $10 family photo session -- done right then and there -- from Salt Lake City-based photographer Kyle Johnson, who will email the photos right after they’re taken. All photography proceeds will also go to the couple.

Other food options include popcorn and cotton candy, as well as menu items from food trucks Art City Donuts and the Matterhorn, which will donate portions of the proceeds to Ashley and Tyson.

As part of a drawing, party goers can receive raffle tickets in exchange for a pack of diapers or wipes and enter themselves in a pool to win one of 75 donated items.
