1. No. 16 Baylor (6-1 overall, 3-1 Big 12)

What’s Up? Both teams were on a bye week. … Texas owns a 79-27 advantage in the overall series and won 27-16 in Austin last season.

2. Virginia (6-2 overall, 4-2 ACC Coastal)

Results: Quarterback Brennan Armstrong accounted for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) as Virginia outscored Georgia Tech 48-40.

What’s Up? The Cavaliers have won four games in a row after losing to North Carolina 59-39 on Sept. 18 and Wake Forest 37-17 on Sept. 24. … BYU last played Virginia in 2014, a 41-33 victory at Provo.

4. Utah (4-3 overall, 3-1 Pac-12 South)

Results: Oregon State trailed 24-14 at halftime but rallied for a 42-34 victory over the Utes.

What’s Up? Utah surrendered 260 rushing yards against Oregon State. … UCLA leads the overall series with Utah 11-7 but the Utes have won four straight, including a 49-3 rout at Salt Lake City in 2019.

5. Utah State (5-2 overall, 3-1 MWC Mountain)

Results: Utah State survived to win another close game as Colorado State drove 66 yards in 44 seconds only to miss a 42-yard field goal as time expired in a 26-24 Aggies victory.

Game On: Saturday vs. Hawaii (4-4, 1-2 MWC West), 1 p.m. MT

What’s Up? Dedrick Parson ran for 161 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hawaii to a 48-34 victory against New Mexico State. … Utah State leads the overall series with the Warriors 10-6 and has won five in a row, including 56-17 at Honolulu in 2018.

6. USC (3-4 overall, 2-3 Pac-12 South)

Plays BYU: Nov. 27 in Los Angeles

Results: Kyren Williams rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 13 Notre Dame to a 31-16 victory against USC.

What’s Up? Arizona ran for 218 yards but lost to Washington 21-16. … USC leads the overall series with the Wildcats 35-8 and has won eight in a row.

7. Washington State (4-4 overall, 3-3 Pac-12 North)

Results: A missed extra point and a failed two-point conversion were key factors in Washington State’s 21-19 loss to BYU.

What’s Up? Colorado State is coming off a 26-24 loss to Utah State. … Boise State has never lost to the Rams, having won all 10 meetings in the series including 52-21 at Boise last season.

9. South Florida (2-5 overall, 1-2 AAC)

Results: Jaren Mangham ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns as South Florida won its first AAC game of the season with a 34-14 victory against Temple.

Game On: Thursday at East Carolina (3-4, 1-2 AAC), 5:30 p.m. MT (ESPN)

What’s Up? In a game delayed more than five hours, East Carolina fell to Houston 31-24. … South Florida leads the overall series 9-2 but the Pirates won the last meeting 44-24 at Tampa in 2020.

10. Arizona (0-7 overall, 0-4 Pac-12 South)

Results: Arizona led 13-0 at one point but ended up losing to Washington 21-16, the Wildcats 19th loss in a row.

What’s Up? Keaontay Ingram rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown but USC lost to No. 13 Notre Dame 31-16. … USC has won eight in a row in the series with the last Arizona victory coming in 2012.
