Three first-half turnovers by Utah State powered the BYU Cougars to a 21-14 lead at the half. 

Aggie quarterback Jordan Love threw two interceptions to BYU linebackers, and the Cougar offense, with Jaren Hall back at quarterback, moved the ball with 312 yards and scored 14 points off Utah State turnovers. 

Baylor Romney took over at quarterback in the second half, and lead the Cougars down the field to open the second half for a touchdown to extend their lead.

Baylor Romney found his brother Gunner Romney on a 1-yard touchdown pass on the Cougars' next possession. 

BYU defeated Utah State, 42-14.
