When it comes to gymnastics, BYU's 2020 is looking to build upon success last season as the Cougars battle the in-state schools, including rival Utah on Saturday at the Maverik Center at 7 p.m.
But how much do you know about this year's team?
Here are four facts that you might not know about the 2020 version of the BYU gymnastics team.
Finishing 2019 strong
BYU averaged a 196.010 score in 2019 to finish the season ranked No. 21.
Utah County talent
There are five gymnasts from Utah County on the 2020 team. There are four freshman from American Fork, Lehi and Mapleton.
I’m on TV
Four of the Cougars’ gymnastics meets will be televised on BYUtv, including when Utah State and UCLA come to Provo on Jan. 15.
Senior captain Shannon Evans from American Fork, has scores in the Top 6 all time at BYU in bars (9.950) and floor (9.950) routines. Evans was named an All-American in 2018 for her performance on bars at the NCAA National Championships.
