Wasatch boys soccer at Skyridge 1

Wasatch senior midfielder Carlos Vargas (5) celebrates after he scored the first goal during the 2-1 Wasp win at Skyridge on April 12, 2019.

Here’s Prep Rally’s take on which are the five best boys soccer teams in Utah Valley right now:

1. Wasatch (11-1-2, 7-1-1)

The Wasps settled for a tie with Skyridge but now only has to beat Springville to win the outright Region 8 title.

2. Pleasant Grove (12-2-1, 9-2-0)

The Vikings have one of the most talented boys soccer teams in state history but can't let that distract them from putting in the work.

3. Skyridge (8-2-3, 5-2-0)

The Falcons couldn't find a way to get past Wasatch, meaning Skyridge will be get the No. 2 seed from the region.

4. Mountain View (12-4-0, 10-2-0)

The Bruins bounced back from late-season defeats to reach the 4A state semifinals.

5. ALA (17-1-0, 12-0-0)

The Eagles crushed the competition in the regular season and are now in the 3A semifinals for a titanic showdown against Judge.
