Region 4

Pleasant Grove 3, Bingham 2: At South Jordan, the visiting Vikings (5-2-0, 3-1-0) came away with a big road win at Bingham (4-4-0, 1-3-0).

Region 7

Timpview 2, Cottonwood 1, OT: At Provo, Cottonwood (2-4-1, 0-2-0) led 1-0 with four minutes left in regulation, but Timpview (7-0-0, 2-0-0) tied it with a goal from Lily Haskins, then Ashton Brockbank hit a penalty kick two minutes into overtime to give Timpview the win and keep the Thunderbirds unbeaten.

Region 8

Skyridge 4, Springville 3: At Springville, the visiting Falcons (4-2-1, 1-0-0) opened Region 8 play by edging Springville (1-3-1, 0-2-0).

Maple Mountain 2, Timpanogos 2, 2 OT (tie): At Orem, the homestanding Timberwolves (4-1-1, 1-0-1) held a narrow 1-0 halftime lead after Samantha Brady scored just two minutes into the game, but Maple Mountain (2-0-3, 0-1-1) came back and after a hard, physical struggle, the Region 8 foes came away with a double-overtime tie.

Maple Mountain’s Anna Pickerin scored about midway through the second half to even the score, then the Golden Eagles took the lead on a Taylor Bunce goal a bit later. But Kara Hartle got the equalizer for Timpanogos in the 26th minute off an assist from Itzel Mejia and neither team could score after that.

Wasatch 1, Provo 0: At Heber City, Mickey Scovil scored off an asisst from Myia Hoggan in the 11th minute, and that was it for scoring for both teams as Wasatch (3-3-2, 1-0-1) earned its first Region 8 win with a shutout of scrappy Provo (1-5-0, 0-1-0).

Hannah Johnston earned her first shutout of the season for the Wasps in the defensive struggle in which both teams had some chances, but defenders and goalies kept the ball out of the net other than Scovil’s early goal.

Region 10

Lehi 5, Uintah 0: At Vernal, the Pioneers (1-5-1, 1-2-1) earned their first win on the season with a road victory over Uintah (0-5-0, 0-4-0).

Salem Hills 7, Payson 1: At Payson, Emily Stevens scored five goals to help the Skyhawks (3-3-1, 3-0-0) remain unbeaten in Region 10 play with a win over Payson (1-5-0, 0-3-0). Kelsey Parcell and Jennie Strong scored a goal apiece for Salem Hills. Parcell, Alexa Nielson and Sydney Sorensen each had an assist.

Stevens took 10 shots, eight of them on goal, to score those five goals.

Region 14

Juab 1, Maeser Prep 0: At Lindon, the visiting Wasps (4-3-0, 3-1-0) scored a goal in the second half to edge past Maeser Prep (2-3-0, 2-1-0) in a showdown between two teams in the top tier of Region 14.

Wasatch def. Highland 3-1: At Salt Lake City, the visiting Wasps came away with a 25-16, 25-16, 23-25. 25-21 over Highland.

Delta def. Maeser Prep 3-0: At Delta, the Rabbits got a 25-20, 25-11, 25-9 win over Maeser Prep.
