Mountain View Clinches 4A Tennis Title 1

OREM — The Timpanogos and Mountain View boys tennis teams tied for first place in Region 7 so they ended up as league co-champions. There was also a tie for third place between Orem and Skyline. Corner Canyon came in fifth, Olympus was sixth and Murray seventh.

The Bruins took the top two spots in singles play and were second in the other but didn’t advance a doubles team. The Timberwolves and Tigers are sending representatives in every bracket for the 4A state tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City.

Following are all the region’s tournament qualifiers.

First Singles: 1st-JD Dollahite, Mountain View; 2nd-Nick Sepulveda, Corner Canyon; 3rd-Justin Stohlton, Timpanogos; 4th-Kaden Craig, Orem.

Second Singles: 1st-James McKell, Mountain View; 2nd-Christian Craig, Orem; 3rd-Tanner O'Brien, Timpanogos; 4th-Dawson Robb-Wilcox, Skyline.

Third Singles:1st-Raleigh Sorbonne, Skyline; 2nd-Zac Spencer, Mountain View; 3rd-Zack McGill, Timpanogos; 4th-David Abbott, Orem.

First Doubles: 1st-Nate Culter and Miguel Salvadore, Corner Canyon; 2nd-Cole Dayton and Wells Bunker, Orem; 3rd-Benjamin Nielsen and Ryan Hamm, Timpanogos; 4th-John Caine and Coulson Rich, Olympus.

Second Doubles: 1st-Greg Lee and Thomas Hall, Skyline; 2nd-Jeffrey Reeves and Tyson Santiago, Orem; 3rd-Zach Ipsen and Dan Reese, Olympus; 4th-Timothy Yoo and Dallin Hughes, Timpanogos.
