Crews conduct simultaneous rescue efforts on Utah Lake; boaters urged to be aware of weather conditions
Two people went missing for a time after their boat overturned on Utah Lake on Wednesday evening. Sgt. Ray Ormond of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said a sailboat with two on board capsized on the north end of the lake just before 6 p.m., prompting rescue crews from multiple Utah County agencies to conduct search efforts. “We launched rescuers from Saratoga Springs Marina, American Fork, Lindon and even the Provo boat harbor to go out and locate them,” Ormond said.
