Heavy, wet snow to continue in waves in American Fork

By Brett Tipton - | Nov 10, 2012

It’s a winter wonderland! Utah received its first major winter storm of the year yesterday. American Fork and much of Utah County got blanketed with up to 1-2 inches of heavy, wet snow.  Many kids, including mine, bundled up and went outside to play in the fresh snow.  But this storm is not over yet. There is a 60 percent chance or snow today and a 30 percent chance for tonight, then gradually tapering off into Veterans Day.

According to National Weather Service meteorologist Christine Kruse, the storm was moving eastward from the West Coast. Kruse explained that the storm would have multiple waves through the weekend.

“Then the next round of the storm will be snow Saturday morning,” she added.

She advised people to take precautions and drive safety.

“People need to make sure they’re prepared,” she said.
