American Fork personal trainer charged with raping teen client
A personal trainer is in hot water for getting too personal. American Fork resident Benjamin Mora is accused of meeting his client, a 15-year-old girl, for several months and sexually assaulting her in his vehicle, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.
Mora, 27, was arraigned on Tuesday on three counts of object rape, four counts of forcible sodomy and four counts of forcible sexual abuse. He is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail. According to the charges, the meetings took place at various locations in Salt Lake County, from July to October 2012.
Salt Lake City Police Detective Veronica Montoya said the alleged victim texted and chatted with her trainer. The arrest is the latest example of a mentor violating his position of trust. The police refused to divulge Mora’s place of employment.
Aside from an illegal apartment accessory conviction in 2009, Mora has no criminal history according to a search of Utah court records, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. His next court appearance is scheduled in two weeks.
