American Fork’s Rue 21 robbed by resident
A month after he was busted for drug possession, 20-year-old Kevin Gandy was booked again on Sunday and charged for the third time in 15 months.

According to a police report, the American Fork resident stole clothing articles at a retailer store at The Meadows on Wednesday. He selected two pairs of jeans at Rue 21, the specialty casual apparel retailer for young men and women in American Fork, then took off.
But crime doesn’t pay in American Fork, and AFPD caught up to Gandy Sunday morning around 9 a.m. and proceeded to arrest him. Gandy admitted to the officers that he took the merchandise without paying for it, the report said. Now life is taking a turn for the worst for the cash-strapped 20-year-old, who’s held on a $750 bond: This offense, because it is his third one, will add a third degree felony to his record.
