American Fork police bust man who allegedly tried to rob Taylor Drug with prescription cheats

By Danny Crivello - | Apr 24, 2014

American Fork police say they arrested Kenneth Buchanan and booked him on Sunday for forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The police say the 26-year-old had attempted to pass two fraudulent prescriptions at American Fork pharmacy Taylor Drug. The police say following a search of the man’s vehicle, 12 more copied prescriptions for morphine and oxycodone were located.

Also located were two pill crushers and three empty pen tubes that had a white powdery substance inside. The police say this is consistent with the practice of inhaling drugs. It was found that Buchanan gave the prescriptions in an attempt to obtain medications fraudulently, according to a police report filed with the Fourth District Court. Buchanan was arrested and booked into county jail.
