American Fork police on the hunt for two men who robbed grocery store at gunpoint

By Danny Crivello - | Apr 26, 2014

The clerk and a customer terrorized, a store in American Fork was robbed at gunpoint, according to a report by KSL.

The Jalisco Market, a grocery store that specialized in Mexican food, was robbed on Thursday night by two armed men. The men were covered with black hoodies, and the surveillance video doesn’t show their faces.

“The clerk became frightened. She laid down on the ground by herself. She doesn’t speak English,” Lt. Sam Lilliard of American Fork Police told KSL. “They were talking to her in English and she just laid herself on the ground and stayed out of the way.”

AFPD says it is now teaming up with Orem police, in a city where identical robberies of small Hispanic stores have recently taken place, to catch the two armed men. It is also asking for any information or tips to be called in at 801-763-3020.
