With weekend torrential rain, American Fork wins silver medal for wettest city in Utah

Saturday brought grey skies and scattered rainstorms throughout Utah, and American Fork became one of the wettest cities in the stateoutdone only by one.

The gold medal went to Cottonwood Heights, which received 1.01. American Fork placed second at .87 of rain. 

Some of the totals recorded: Brigham City with .38″, Sandy .83″, Cottonwood Heights 1.01″, North Ogden .54″, Hyde Park .59″, North Logan .52″, Cedar City .38″, Weber .48″, American Fork .87″, Lehi .75″, Salt Lake City. .56″, Taylorsville .61″, Draper .60″, West Haven .66″, Spanish Fork .44″, West Bountiful .56″, Holladay .85″, Moab .24″, Pleasant Grove .65″.

The forecast for today is a chance of rain and snow showers before noon. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected. The rest of the week looks to be clear and sunny. Enjoy it while it lasts!
