Senior menus

SANPETE COUNTY– Congregate meals will be served for senior citizens at noon each Monday through Thursday at the Ephraim and Moroni centers. Reservations should be made before 9 a.m., by calling the center at 435-283-6310 or 436-8275.

Milk or juice, bread and butter will be served with meals unless otherwise noted. Menus are subject to change and substitutions. There is a small cost for each meal.

December menu items include:

Dec. 4, pork roast, whipped potatoes and gravy, carrots, apple salad, roll and butter.

Dec. 8, chicken enchilada, tossed green salad, pineapple and cottage cheese, muffin and butter.

Dec. 9, mild chili, cheese sticks, fruit cup and bread stick.

Dec. 10, turkey casserole, yams, fruit salad, brownie, roll and butter.

Dec. 11, pork chops, potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables and fruit parfait.

Dec. 15, homemade chicken noodle soup with vegetables, cheese stick, fruit dessert and bread sticks.

Dec. 16, roast beef, potatoes and gravy, peas and Jell-O with fruit.

Dec. 17, clam chowder, mixed vegetables, fruit and bread sticks.

Dec. 18, glazed ham, yummy potatoes, corn fruit salad, pumpkin pie, roll and butter.

Dec. 22, vegetable beef soup, cheese stick, fruit cobbler and bread sticks.

Dec. 23, shepherd’s pie with vegetables, orange wedge, cookie, rolls and butter.

The centers will be closed until Friday, Jan. 5, 2009.
