But what happens when employees choose to forgo their yearly company party and donate all of that money instead to families in need for the holidaysfi What happens is a ‘Great Clips Cut-a-Thon’ to raise additional money for the use of buying presents and food for deserving families in the Springville area!

When the stylists at Great Clips first approached the owner and informed him that they wanted to volunteer their time to raise money for a Sub-for-Santa instead of having a holiday party, he was shocked because he knew that his stylists weren’t made of money.

In fact, he knew that many of them were having a hard time making ends meet themselves, but he was also touched at their generosity and willingness to donate not only their party, but their time and talents too.

Wanting to help more families than just what could be helped with the money that was to be spent on the stylist’s holiday party, the idea of a cut-a-thon was formed.

The employees at Great Clips are asking for two favors from the residents of Springville and Mapleton. They need submissions for families that could use a little help this holiday season.

If you know a family that could use help with gifts, food, anything – they need you to either come to the Great Clips in Springville and fill out a submission form, or call at (801) 489-4024. Don’t worry, all submissions will remain anonymous!

They need everyone who can to come and get their hair cut on Sunday, Dec. 14, between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. Even if you don’t need a hair cut – they’d love to see you! The Great Clips Springville location is located at 675 E. 400 South, right next to Reams. All of the money collected for haircuts during the cut-a-thon will go straight to helping families in need.

This is a simple thing you can do this holiday season to help out. The more money that is donated and earned, the more families that can be helped! They hope this event will be a big success that the residents of Springville will take advantage of it.
