The sixtieth wedding anniversary of Richard and Joann Sumsion of Springville will be celebrated, along with the Sumsion Family Christmas Party, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008.

Richard and Joann are both 1947 graduates of Springville High School and were married Dec. 9, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Their four children are Sharee (Alan) Bird, Brent (Kay) Sumsion, Steven (Mindy) Sumsion, and Scott (Linda) Sumsion. They also have 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

All their grandchildren who have strayed to the East and the South will be home for the occasion. The current number with spouses is now 62 — a lot to celebrate!
