Rebecca Anne Bowen, daughter of Lon and Reva Bowen of Orem, will marry Steven Merrill Downs, son of Denny and Sara Downs of Fishers, Indiana, on Saturday, December 20, 2008, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
The bride-to-be graduated from Orem High School, where she was active in student government and a member of the OHS Dance Company. She is majoring in dance at Brigham Young University, and is employed teaching at the Academy of Ballet in Orem and Lindon.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, where he was on the baseball team. He is majoring in business at Utah Valley University, and is employed with Mountain America Credit Union. He served in the Provo Utah Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The couple will be honored at a reception that same evening at the LDS chapel located at 800 East 800 South in Orem (the south building), from 6 to 8 p.m. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend. An open house will be held later at the Downs residence in Indiana.
