Gunnison City will conduct a New Year’s Eve celebration Wednesday, Dec. 31. A list of events includes; 6 p.m., the lighting of the G Hill and at Gunnison Valley High School, 35 East 600 South, dinner, concerts by the Cadillacs, a talent show, a youth dance, a volleyball tournament and much more. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children (kindergarten-12th grade) and are currently on sale at Rasmussen’s Ace Hardware, 435 South Main in Gunnison, Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center, and at Gunnison Implement, 51 West 200 North. Moroni New Year’s Eve Party There will be a New Year’s Eve party at the Moroni Opera House Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Music will be provided by Junction 89 and there will be snacks and party favors. The cost is $8 a person and $15 a couple.

3 p.m., The Ute Stampede Rodeo Committee announces the fifth annual Cowboy Days scheduled to be held at the Juab County Multi-Purpose Building, 350 West Center, Nephi, Several of the nine Utah cowboys who competed at the 2008 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV; will be in attendance.
