Lehi Free Press yw Barber, Ford

Two young women from the Lehi 17th Ward have completed their Young Womanhood Recognition Award.

Haylee Barber, 16, is the daughter of Marty and Janet Barber. She is a junior at Lehi High School and is currently serving as a captain on the cheer leading squad. She is a former Miss Lehi’s Outstanding Teen and recently competed at a national competition with her Twisters cheer squad where they took first place.

Her interests include; cheer leading, dancing, softball, wake boarding, snowmobiling, four wheeling, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, swimming and being on the beach.

Haylee currently serves as the 2nd counselor in her Laurel class. A few of the projects she completed for her award include: making and donating lap blankets to a care center, preparing and competing in the Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen Pageant.

KT Ford, 17, is the daughter of Joe and Donalyn Ford. She is also a junior at Lehi High School and plays on the varsity volleyball team. She is a member of the National Honor Society and a Lehi Scholar.

Her interests include: horseback riding, drawing, piano, singing and volleyball.

KT currently serves as the 1st counselor in her Laurel class and also serves on the Lehi East Stake Youth Committee. Some of her projects she completed for her award include: crocheting leper bandages, reading The Book of Mormon, completing the Trail of Faith Award and being a companion in the Special Needs Seminary.

Congratulations to both Haylee and KT on achieving this award.
