Florence Hurst Wendel will celebrate her 90th birthday on April 12. She was the 2nd of five children born to Roy and Mildred Hurst and was raised in Sanderson Texas. She graduated from BYU with a major in home economics and taught school for many years.
Florence married Clarence John Wendel Jan. 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Florence’s interest and talents have always centered around her family and home. She still enjoys sewing, cooking and reading. She has always been a happy, ooptimistic person in spite of many challenges and heartaches in her life. In her own words: “life has been good.”
Florence’s example and influence for good on her family members will be felt for generations.
Her six children, 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren wish her a memorable birthday.
