Wayne & Dixie Nilsen Celebrate 50 Years of Bliss

By Daily Herald - | Feb 7, 2009

They were high school sweethearts and were married in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple on November 21, 1958. They have lived in Spanish Fork; Chicago, IL; Provo; Birmingham, AL; Valparaiso, IN; and now reside in Springville.

Wayne enjoyed a successful career with United States Steel Company that provided he and Dixie the opportunity to live and serve in several parts of the country. They have both spent most of their lives serving in the LDS Church. They enjoy cheering on “their” beloved BYU Cougars and Utah Jazz, spend a great deal of time gardening, love the outdoors and most of all enjoy spending quality time with their family.

Wayne and Dixie have five children: Thad (deceased); Janae (Philip) Lamb of Orem; Randy (Debbie Church) Nilsen of Denver, CO; Debbie (Brian) Tudor of Springville; and Larinda (Jeff) Harvey of Pleasant Grove.

They are the loving grandparents of Jamielyn (Kurt) Wharton, Nicole (Matt) Huff, Jentrie, Cassidy (Cameron) Cook, Colton, Trace, Morgan, Kicker, Nyna, Colin, Hadlee, Tabitha.

They have great grandchildren: Braydon, Logan, Sawyer

We love our parents and so appreciate their incredible love and wonderful example. We are so proud of them and equally proud to be their children.

Wayne and Dixie (as you would have thought) have requested no open house but would love to hear from family and friends. Please feel free to call them or drop them a note.

Starting at $4.32/week.
