Grandaughter Heidi Bartholomew Simonsen, daughter of Steven and Susan Bartholomew of Springville, delivered the 100th great-grandchild, Kate Lena, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.

The proud father, Marc Darrell Simonsen, is the son of Darrell and Nancy Simonsen of Springville.

Lena married her sweetheart, Elden Bartholomew, Feb. 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City. They resided in Springville until his passing on July 17, 2005. She now lives in St., George wiith her daughter, Anna Lee, and son-in-law, Lee Chamberlain.

Lena and Elden had five children, Anna Lee (Lee) Chamberlain, Sheldon (deceased) (Linda Wightman), Michael (Barbara Jessee), Darrell (Lois Thompson) and Steven (Susan Weight). She has 38 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
