Dean Oldroyd 90th birthday
Berdean (Dean) Oldroyd is celebrating his 90th birthday with family today, Feb. 26, 2009. He was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Fountain Green, Utah, to Andrew Todd Oldroyd and Celia Sorensen. He married Elsa Leavitt on April 22, 1944. She passed away in 2003.
Oldroyd has been a well respected member of the Springville community for more than 50 years, known as a singer in a barbershop quartet, accompanied by his wife; a frequent of Hobble Creek Golf Course, and his service in many capacities in his church.
He currently resides at his home in Brookside in Springville.
His children are: Patricia Hansen of Tucson, AZ; Maureen (Greg) Chamberlain of Hurricaine, UT; Wendy (Terry) Lamoreaux of Cedar City, UT; Donald (Kiku) Oldroyd of Riverton, UT; Douglas (deceased 2005) (Julie) Oldroyd of Springville, UT; Marie Oldroyd of American Fork, UT; and Lisa (Tevis) Vance of Chubbuck, ID.
Dean has 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who are all close to him.
